Things to do in Puerto Pollensa

Pine Walk

For beautiful scenery with a cool sea breeze take a stroll along the Pine Walk. The wide pathway runs alongside the sea where you will find a variety of boats and yachts. There are many shops and cafes along the way as well as restaurants over the sea where you can enjoy the mediterranean culture whilst looking out to sea and the mountain background. Taking a stroll along the pine walk in different seasons provides you with a new exciting expertise as the scenery changes throughout the year.

Beaches

There are a number of beaches in Puerto Pollensa. Port de Pollenca beach is popular with tourists, the long commercial blue flag beach is lined with tourist shops, apartments and restaurants. If you carry on walking along the waterfront you will find a number of small cove beaches with beautiful clear and shallow waters. If you are looking for water sports, you will be spoilt for choice from jet-skiing to banana boating and scuba diving.

Boat Trips

There are many boat trips available from Puerto Pollensa. Take a glass bottom trip to Formentor beach, sit back and relax whilst viewing the Mallorcan marine life in its natural habitat. Or take a sunrise boat trip with a possibility of seeing families of dolphins. If you prefer a private boat trip, you can book a private excursion for all occasions.

Formentor Lighthouse & Cliff

The 18km of winding roads leading to the Lighthouse provide excellent views and is one of the most scenic scenic drives in the world. The tall cliffs attract all kinds of wildlife and pine trees and greenery are dotted around the rocks. The lighthouse is the highest lighthouse in the Balearic islands at 210 metres above sea level. You can reach the lighthouse by bus, cycling or walking.

Weather in Puerto Pollensa

Puerto Pollensa has around 300 days of sunshine per year making it perfect for for those who can’t stand the cold, wet weather that many European countries are well known for. August is the hottest month, with an average temperature of 25°C. The coldest month is January with an average temperature of 10°C.
