About Palma

Palma Map - Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca is the capital of Mallorca and also the largest city of the Balearic Islands. Not less than half of the Mallorcan population lives in Palma, enjoying the relaxed way of living. The many quality shops, stylish restaurants, designer boutiques, sports facilities and art galleries in historic surroundings create a stylish, sophisticated and intimate feeling.

Thanks to its historic past, Palma offers many unique city palaces. The old town owns a wide branch of city buildings inherited from the Romans and the Arabs, with amazing architecture from the Middle Ages to modernity. Palma is located on the southern coast of Mallorca overlooking the spectacular and largest marina of the Mediterranean.

This is the annual host to the biggest regattas of the Mediterranean: The Princess Sofia Trophy in April and the King’s Trophy in July. Thanks to the international airport, this metropolis can rely on an excellent connection with the rest of Spain and Europe. The whole year round Palma is a buzzing city.
